Flolan backpack ideas

Flolan backpacks are a fact of life for many people suffering from Pulmonary Hypertension. These backbacks are our constant companions, they follow us everythere we go, they see us at our best, and at our worst. These backpacks, however, lack the characteristics of a good long term companion. Here is a few of my thoughts:

  • The packs I have received recently are utter garbage. Their construction is terrible, and they typically break within 3 weeks. The quality of the packs seems to have gone downhill over the past six months.
  • The concept of one size fits all does not apply to all but the most "normal" of body types. Large people as well as pediatrics suffer from ill fitting sizes.
  • There are many colors in the spectrum, and black is not one of them. A bit of color variety would really be nice.

I don't want to diminish the work that someone put into designing the current backback. It contains the Flolan pump very well, and the additional pouches both toward the body and on the outside are fantastic for containing insulation material. I just think that its time for the next generation of backpacks...
